Commissions are one of a kind artworks which are made exclusively for you and not sold as part of my artwork collection.
Currently original commissioned paintings start at $500.00 *
The fee includes creating the art and showing one proof. When the artwork is completed you have the options of two choices of "media" The options are an original canvas or an original print on watercolor paper. Additional signed prints are available after the purchase of the original.
I prefer to work from my photographs, so a photo session would be scheduled. (Unless of course we have already done the photo session!) I can work with an existing photo that you may have, but I do not work from "any" photo. My finished painting depends on the quality, subject, composition and copyright in some cases of the original photograph or image.
Depending on your location, we will either schedule an in-person previewing or we will use my on-line gallery, so you can see what I'm creating and you can make changes or suggestions if needed. Turnaround can be anywhere from one to six months depending on how heavy the work-load is in the studio. (It's just me!)
My college degree is in Fine Arts, but I continue to learn from other artists around the world. Some of the more famous artists are: Helen Yancy, Jeremy Sutton, Bet Borgeson and Elin Pendleton.
I require a deposit and the balance is due upon completion.
